This DeWalt DWE4222N 4.5-inch small angle paddle switch grinder comes with a powerful 11 Amp 1400 MWO motor. It can maintain high operating speeds even under heavy loads. The built-in brake system is amazing, as it can slow down the grinding wheel 50% faster than the DWE402 with DW4514 Wheel once you release the trigger. The One-Touch(TM) Guard is a great feature, allowing you to make quick and easy guard adjustments with just one action. The Dust Ejection System helps keep the motor clean and extends its lifespan.
What's in the box? You'll get a DWE4224N Grinder, a side handle for better control, a backing flange, a flange nut, a 4.5' T27 Guard for safety, and a hex key wheel wrench for maintenance.
Key specifications include 11 Amps, 11000 RPM, a maximum watts out of 1400, a spindle size of 5/8 - 11, and 1.8 horsepower. It has a paddle switch for easy operation. Also, it features an integrated lanyard connection point. When a wheel pinch/stall event is detected, the E-Clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second.

Using the DeWalt DWE4222N grinder is quite straightforward. First, make sure you've assembled it properly. Attach the side handle for better control. Then, use the hex key wheel wrench to secure the grinding wheel. Before starting, check that the guard is in place and adjusted correctly with the One - Touch(TM) Guard feature.
When using the grinder, hold it firmly. Press the paddle switch to start the motor. You'll notice its high - speed operation even under heavy loads. Once you're done, release the trigger, and the brake will quickly slow down the wheel.
Here are some important notes. Always wear safety goggles and appropriate protective clothing. Don't operate the grinder in a wet environment. The E - Clutch is there to protect you, but be aware that it activates in case of a wheel pinch/stall. Also, remember that the lanyard is not included.
For maintenance, the Dust Ejection System helps keep the motor clean. However, it's a good idea to clean the grinder regularly.
