Using the DeWalt DCD443B is easy. First, make sure you have a compatible 20V MAX XR battery (sold separately). Insert the battery into the drill. For bit changes, use the 7/16 - inch hex quick - change chuck. Just hold the chuck and insert or remove the bit. When starting a job, turn on the drill and start drilling. The POWER DETECT feature will optimize the output for high - capacity XR batteries. Remember, the E - Clutch System is there to protect you. If the drill binds up, it will shut down automatically. When using the drill, wear safety goggles and gloves. Don't use the drill in wet conditions. For maintenance, after each use, wipe the drill clean with a dry cloth. Check the chuck for any debris and clean it if necessary. Store the drill in a dry and cool place. If you want to track the drill on the jobsite, install a DEWALT Tool Connect Chip (sold separately) and use the Tool Connect App.
