Using the DeWalt DCD800D1E1 drill is a breeze. First, make sure the battery is fully charged. Insert the battery into the drill until it clicks into place. Then, select the appropriate drill bit for your task and insert it into the 1/2 - inch metal ratcheting chuck. You can adjust the speed using the two - speed settings (0 - 650/0 - 2,000 rpm) according to the material you're drilling into. For better visibility in dark areas, use the 3 - position, pivoting LED. Just switch between the 3 modes as needed. When you're done using the drill, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Clean the drill regularly with a dry cloth to keep it in good condition. Avoid using the drill in wet or damp environments. Also, don't forget to check the bit for wear and tear and replace it when necessary. If you want to manage your tools at the jobsite, insert the Tool Connect™ chip DCE042 (sold separately) into the drill's chip pocket and connect it to the Tool Connect™ Site Manager app.
