Using this DeWalt grinder is easy. First, make sure you've attached the side handle securely for better control. Plug it into a power source. To start the tool, use the 2 - stage trigger. This means you'll need to do two actions to get it going, which adds an extra layer of safety. When you're done using it, just release the trigger, and the internal brake will stop the wheel in about 2 seconds or less (using the DWA8914 wheel).
Here are some important things to note. If there's a power outage, the POWER - LOSS RESET® feature kicks in. You'll have to turn the trigger switch off and then on again to restart the tool. Also, the lanyard attachment point is there for your safety, but you'll need to get your own lanyard.
For maintenance, since it has a brushless motor, you don't have to replace the brushes. But it's a good idea to keep the grinder clean. After each use, wipe it down to remove any dust or debris. Check the wheel regularly for any signs of wear and tear, and replace it if needed. And don't forget to store it in a dry place to keep it in good working condition.
