Using the DeWalt DWE7801 soft backing pad is easy. First, make sure your DCE800 cordless drywall sander is turned off. Then, attach the backing pad to the sander. Next, select the appropriate 9 - inch diameter sandpaper or mesh and stick it onto the hook - and - loop surface of the backing pad. Now you're ready to start sanding your drywall for a smooth finish. When using, avoid applying too much pressure as it might damage the foam backing.
