Using Your Makita Hedge Trimmer Kit: First, make sure the battery is fully charged. Insert the 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah battery into the hedge trimmer. Choose the appropriate speed setting based on the thickness of the branches. For thin branches, use the low speed (2,000 SPM); for medium branches, the medium speed (3,600 SPM); and for thick branches, the high speed (5,000 SPM). Hold the trimmer firmly and start trimming. If the blades get jammed, use the reverse function to clear the blockage. The vacuum can be used separately to clean up the clippings. Just turn it on and start sucking up the debris. Remember to empty the dust bag regularly. When not in use, store the tools in a dry place. Clean the blades after each use to keep them sharp. Check the battery regularly and charge it when needed.
