Using the Makita GRJ01M1 Recipro Saw Kit is straightforward. First, insert the 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah Battery into the saw. Make sure it's properly seated. To start cutting, hold the saw with the ergonomic handle, and use the large two - finger variable speed trigger to control the speed. You can choose between low (0 - 2,300 strokes per minute) and high (0 - 3,000 strokes per minute) settings depending on the task. When changing the blade, use the tool - less blade change lever for quick and easy replacement. For better blade life, adjust the shoe as needed. When you're done using the saw, use the retractable tool hook to secure it. Keep in mind that this saw is designed for cutting and demolition work. Don't use it for tasks it's not intended for. Avoid using it in extremely wet or dusty conditions, although the XPT® technology offers some protection. When charging the battery, use the 40V max XGT® Rapid Optimum Charger. The charger's digital display will show you the battery charge level. After each use, wipe the saw clean with a dry cloth. Periodically check the metal - reinforced gear shaft and self - lubricating slider for any signs of wear. If you notice any problems, contact Makita's customer service for assistance.
