Using your Makita 40V Max XGT 12-Inch Miter Saw Kit is a breeze. First, make sure the battery is fully charged using the included XGT® Rapid Optimum Charger. Once charged, insert the battery into the saw. For cutting, adjust the miter and bevel angles according to your needs. Use the positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 31.6°, 45°, and 60° for accurate cuts. The extension wings can be extended for longer materials and retracted when not in use. When starting the saw, the soft start feature will ensure a smooth start. The electric brake will stop the blade quickly when you're done cutting. The L.E.D. light will show you the exact cutting line. If you have the Auto-start Wireless System (AWS®) transmitter (sold separately), pair it with your dust extractor.
