Using the DeWalt DWHT47069L red permanent chalk is a breeze. First, make sure your chalk line reel is clean and ready. Open the tethered pop - top spout cap on the oval - shaped bottle and pour the chalk into the reel. When you're marking on concrete or masonry, pull the chalk line tight and snap it to leave a clear red mark. As for maintenance, keep the bottle in a dry place to prevent the chalk from clumping. Also, replace the chalk when it runs out using the included replacement chalk. Be careful not to spill the chalk, as it's permanent and can stain surfaces.
