Using the DeWalt DWHT83188 clamp is a breeze. For clamping, just place the jaws around the materials you want to hold together and use one hand to operate the trigger to apply the 600-pound clamping force. If you need to use it as a spreader, simply press the quick change button. When using, make sure the materials are properly positioned between the jaws to avoid slipping. Don't exceed the maximum opening of 50 inches. After each use, clean the clamp with a dry cloth to remove any debris. Periodically check the nylon body for cracks and the steel bar for rust. If you notice any issues, stop using the clamp and get it repaired or replaced. The removable jaw pads can be washed if they get dirty. Store the clamp in a dry place to keep it in good condition.
