Using the DeWalt rotary hammer is straightforward. First, make sure the batteries are fully charged and inserted correctly into the tool. Attach the side handle and depth rod as needed. Select the appropriate drill bit (up to 5/8' diameter carbide drill bit can be used) and insert it into the SDS+ chuck. You can adjust the depth stop for accurate drilling. When starting the drill, hold it firmly with both hands, especially during overhead drilling. The SHOCKS Active Vibration Control will reduce the vibration you feel. As for the dust extraction system, it will automatically start when you turn on the drill. Thanks to the 2-second power-off delay, it will continue to work for a short time after you turn off the drill to clean up the remaining dust. Be careful when using the retractable utility hook; don't overload it. For maintenance, keep the tool clean after each use. Wipe off any dust or debris from the body, chuck, and drill bits. Replace the dust nozzle and HEPA filter regularly to ensure the dust extraction system works effectively.
