Product Detail

The DeWalt DWA8909FH grinding wheels are a game - changer in the world of metal grinding. With a Pressure Pact™ design, these wheels offer up to 50% longer life compared to Norton for select SKUs*. This means you can use fewer wheels in extreme metal - grinding applications. The high - tech grains are tightly packed under intense heat and pressure. The self - sharpening, crystalline grain structure allows you to aggressively grind a wide variety of metals in demanding jobs. You'll experience fast and smooth grinding, thanks to the high - density grain concentration, along with low vibration and minimal jumping. Each package includes one grinding wheel. It's built with three sheets of fiberglass for added strength, designed to reduce the risk of wheel breakage. Arbor size is 5/8'-11, thickness is 1/4', type is 27, and it has a maximum RPM of 13,300.

Using the DeWalt DWA8909FH grinding wheel is easy. First, make sure your grinding machine is turned off and unplugged. Then, securely attach the wheel to the machine according to the machine's instructions, ensuring the arbor size (5/8'-11) matches. When you're ready to grind, put on your safety gear like goggles and gloves. Start the machine and let it reach full speed before touching the metal. Move the wheel evenly across the metal surface for a smooth finish. Be careful not to apply too much pressure as it can cause the wheel to wear out faster or increase the risk of breakage. After use, turn off the machine and let the wheel cool down. Store the wheel in a dry place away from moisture and sharp objects. Check the wheel regularly for any signs of damage or wear. If you notice any cracks or excessive wear, replace the wheel immediately to ensure your safety and the quality of your work.
