Landscapers increasingly seek cordless alternatives to gas - powered outdoor tools. Makita answers this demand with its 40V ConnectX™ Brushless Backpack Blower (CBU04Z). It's a game - changer with zero emissions, less noise, and far less maintenance compared to gas models. Ideal for landscapers switching to battery - powered equipment. A Makita - built brushless motor offers the power of a 64cc backpack blower, boasting a high 24 - Newton blowing force to clear heavy debris. The tube - mounted variable speed trigger adjusts airflow from 0 to 696 CFM, helping manage power and runtime. The cruise control lever on the variable speed trigger ensures comfortable continuous operation. With a 62 dB(A) sound pressure rating (per ANSI B 175.2 standard), it's not too loud. The nozzle has a downward tip to reduce arm fatigue and provides strong airflow. The telescoping long nozzle can be adjusted for different user heights and tasks. The in - line fan design enhances tool balance and ergonomics. When paired with the ConnectX™ 1,500Wh Portable Backpack Power Supply (PDC1500, sold separately), the CBU04 can run up to two hours. Convenience features abound. There's a power button on the control handle to start the blower while wearing it. The tool - less control handle adjustment adds to user comfort, and the rubberized soft grip on the handle makes work easier. An adjustable ergonomic harness with a waist belt ensures operator comfort. There's also an integrated carry handle for transport and storage, and a durable housing that lets the blower stand upright. This blower has IPX4 weather - resistant construction and exclusive Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), which channels water and dust away from key internal parts for better performance in tough conditions. Included in the package are a blower, a DC4001 AC power supply and charger (PDC1200), a PDC1200 40V max ConnectX 1,200Wh portable power supply (battery only), a GRU01M1 40V max XGT 15' string trimmer kit (4.0Ah), a CBU04 nozzle (413Y04 - 7), a concentrator nozzle (1914H0 - 2), and a flat nozzle (1914H1 - 0).

Put on the backpack blower using the adjustable ergonomic harness and waist belt. Press the power button on the control handle to start it. You can adjust the speed using the tube - mounted variable speed trigger according to your needs. If you need continuous operation, use the cruise control lever.
