Product Detail

INCLUDES: (1) Knockout Die. This Gardner Bender knockout die is a must - have tool for your metal - working needs. When paired with GB 4 - point punches, it allows the slug to fall freely from the die, eliminating the need for tapping or prying. It's suitable for 10 - gauge mild steel and 12 - gauge stainless steel, punching a hole perfect for 1.5 - inch pipes or conduits. The actual hole diameter is 1.937 inches. Gardner Bender dies are highly versatile and can be used interchangeably with most knockout brands. They're made from black - oxide - coated, hardened, and tempered chrome - moly steel. Use this 1.5 - inch die with GB 4 - point slug - outs to punch clean, round holes in soft metals up to 0.135 inches thick. Additional sizes are available for easy installation of electrical conduit and pipe from 1/2' to 4' in common increments.

Using this Gardner Bender knockout die is easy. First, pair it with a GB 4 - point punch. Make sure the metal you're working on is 10 - gauge mild steel, 12 - gauge stainless steel, or other soft metals up to 0.135 inches thick. Then, place the die on the metal where you want to punch the hole. When you use the punch, the slug will fall out freely, so no extra effort is needed. As for maintenance, keep the die clean and dry. After each use, wipe it down to prevent rust. Also, store it in a cool, dry place. Be careful not to use it on metals that are too thick, as it could damage the die. If you're not sure about the metal type or thickness, test it on a small piece first.
