Product Detail

The GearWrench 80879 is an outstanding 13-piece mechanics tool set with a 3/4-inch drive and 12-point SAE design. It includes 11 standard sockets sized from 7/8 inches to 1-1/2 inches, a 24-tooth quick-release teardrop ratchet, and an 8-inch extension. All these come neatly stored in a durable metal case. The sockets and drive tools are finished with full polish chrome, and the sockets have off-corner rounding to prevent fastener damage. This set features large hard stamp size markings on the sockets for easy identification. The 24-tooth full polish chrome quick-release ratchet and knurled full polish chrome extension enhance usability. It meets or exceeds ASME specifications B107.1 and B1007.10, made from high-quality alloy steel, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability for your mechanical repair needs.

Using the GearWrench 80879 tool set is easy. First, pick the right socket size for the fastener you're working on. Attach the socket to the ratchet or extension as needed. Then, place the socket onto the fastener and turn the ratchet to loosen or tighten. For hard-to-reach areas, use the extension. When not in use, keep the tools in the metal storage case to stay organized and protected. Always make sure the tools are clean before storing them. If they get dirty, use a mild cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe them down. Avoid using the tools on fasteners that are too large or too small for the sockets, as this can cause damage to both the tool and the fastener. With proper use and maintenance, this tool set will serve you well for a long time.
