Using the Makita GSR02Z circular saw is easy. First, make sure you have a compatible 40V max XGT® battery (not included). Insert the battery into the saw. Hold the saw firmly with both hands, one on the rear handle and one on the side handle. Adjust the bevel angle if needed by using the adjustment mechanism. Line up the blade with the cutting mark on your material. Press the trigger to start the saw and slowly guide it through the material. When you're done cutting, release the trigger and let the electric brake stop the blade. For safety, always wear safety glasses and ear protection. Don't use the saw in wet conditions unless it's designed for that. Keep the saw clean and free of dust and debris. After each use, wipe it down with a dry cloth. Periodically check the blade for wear and replace it if necessary. When storing the saw, use the retractable tool hook to hang it up. Also, store the battery in a cool, dry place. And remember, if you want to use the Auto - start Wireless System (AWS®), you'll need to buy the transmitter separately.
