Product Detail

The Makita 9903 belt sander comes with great inclusions. It includes one abrasive belt (#80; 742308 - 3) and a dust bag (122591 - 2). This sander is equipped with an 8.8 AMP motor that's not only powerful but also operates at a quiet 85dB. The variable speed control dial (690 - 1,440 ft./min.) allows you to adjust the speed according to your task. The auto - tracking belt system keeps the belt on track without any adjustment. Its innovative design lets you sand right up to the wall with the nose and side of the sander. The front grip design ensures comfortable handling. The dust bag helps keep your workspace clean. With a long 16.4 ft. power cord, you can move around easily. There's an optional sanding shoe for precise depth control. It can sand both wood and metal, and remove paint and rust. Plus, it's double - insulated for safety.

Using the Makita 9903 belt sander is quite straightforward. First, make sure to connect it to a power source using the long 16.4 ft. power cord. Adjust the variable speed control dial according to the material you're working on - for softer materials, a lower speed might be better, and for harder ones, you can increase the speed. Place the sander on the surface you want to sand and start moving it back and forth gently. When sanding near walls, use the innovative design that allows the nose and side of the sander to get flush against the wall. As you work, the dust bag will collect the debris, keeping your workspace clean. Don't forget to empty the dust bag regularly to maintain its efficiency. Regarding maintenance, check the abrasive belt for wear and tear often. Replace it when it starts to lose its effectiveness. If you use the optional sanding shoe, make sure it's properly attached and adjusted for precise sanding. Also, keep the sander in a dry place when not in use. Always ensure the sander is unplugged before performing any maintenance or when you're done using it for safety reasons.
