Enjoy 2-mode operation - 'Rotation Only' or 'Hammering with Rotation' for diverse applications. Variable 2-speed (0 - 1,200 & 0 - 2,900 RPM) with a speed control dial. A torque - limiting clutch protects gears when the bit binds. The positive stop mode selector prevents accidental mode changes. The large trigger switch and 360° swivel side handle offer great comfort. The recessed lock - on button is perfect for continuous use. All - ball bearing construction ensures a long tool life. The ergonomic rubberized grip reduces fatigue. It's lightweight at 5.6 lbs. and designed for low noise and vibration. Air vent holes keep the motor clean and ventilated. SPECIFICATIONS: Capacity - Concrete: 3/4'; Steel - Low: 1/2', High: 5/16'; Wood - Low: 1 - 9/16', High: 1'. No Load Speed - Low: 0 - 1,200 RPM.

Using the Makita HP2050 hammer drill is easy. First, select the appropriate mode - 'Rotation Only' for normal drilling or 'Hammering with Rotation' for concrete. Adjust the speed using the variable speed control dial according to your material. Hold the drill with the 360° swivel side handle for better control and use the large trigger switch to start and stop. For continuous operation, press the recessed lock - on button. When using the drill, make sure to wear safety goggles and gloves. Avoid using the drill in wet conditions. If the bit binds, the torque - limiting clutch will protect the gears, but it's still a good idea to stop and check the situation. To maintain your drill, keep it clean by blowing out the air vent holes regularly to prevent dust and debris from entering the motor. Store it in the provided tool case when not in use to protect it from damage.
