Using the Milwaukee 2269 - 20NST temperature gun is easy. First, insert the 9V battery. Then, turn on the device. You can use the infrared mode to measure surface temperatures from a distance, or use the K - type thermocouple for contact measurements. To get an accurate reading, make sure the gun is pointed directly at the target. You can adjust the emissivity according to the material you're measuring. When using the audible high/low temperature alert, set your desired temperature limits. For performance tracking, use the log function to store up to 99 measurements. Regarding maintenance, keep the gun clean and dry. After use, turn it off and store it in a safe place. Avoid dropping it, as even though it can withstand 6 - foot drops, repeated impacts may damage it. Also, check the battery regularly and replace it when it runs low.
