Using Your Makita 40V Max XGT Pole Saw Kit: First, make sure the battery is fully charged using the XGT® rapid charger. The charger's digital display will show the charge level. Attach the battery to the pole saw. You can use the branch hook to pull down trimmed branches. When setting up, use the lateral chain tensioner with a single stud to keep the chain in place, and the captured bar nut in the sprocket cover makes it easy to assemble. Don't forget to fill the translucent bar oil tank through the large opening to keep the bar lubricated. Note: If the attachment suddenly stops rotating, the Active Feedback - Sensing Technology (AFT®) will turn off the motor to protect you.
