Using the Bosch HDC300 is easy. First, select the appropriate adapter from the three-piece set according to your hammer's size and install it on the hammer. Then, use the ski-boot style clamping band to attach the dust-collection attachment to the hammer tube. Adjust the metal extension arm so that it's properly positioned around the chisel and can accommodate the chisel's length. Connect the 1-3/8-In. dust port to your Bosch dust-extractor vacuum nozzle. If needed, you can use the optional dust-port adapters (sold separately) to convert the dust port. When using it, remember that you don't need to remove the attachment to access the chisel for installation, removal, or adjustment. During chiseling, the rubber bumper on the shroud tip will provide cushioning if it contacts the workpiece. As for maintenance, regularly check the clamping band for tightness and the metal extension arm for proper adjustment. Clean the dust-collection shroud and the adapter pieces to ensure efficient dust collection. Also, make sure to follow the safety instructions of your hammer and the dust-extractor vacuum.
