Using the Bosch GLL3-300 is easy. First, use the BM1 positioning device to set up the laser on a surface. You can clip it to different surfaces, stand it on the floor using the retractable feet, or mount it to drywall or wood with screws. Once set up, turn it on. If you need to work over a long distance or in bright light, switch to pulse mode and use the optional LR8 or LR6 receiver. The smart pendulum system will self - level the laser as long as it's within ±4°. If you want to use it at a specific angle, switch to manual mode to lock the lines. When using the laser, make sure the work area is relatively clean and free of excessive dust or water, as the device is IP54 rated but still needs some care. For maintenance, keep the device dry. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to clean it. Also, regularly check the battery. The battery voltage is 1.5 volts, so make sure to replace it with the correct type when it runs out.
