Using the DeWalt DCD471B is easy. First, attach the side handle for better control. Choose the right bit for your job and use the 7/16 in. hex quick - change chuck to install it. You can select the appropriate speed setting from the two available options (0 - 400 rpm or 0 - 1320 rpm) using the quick - shift speed selector. When you start drilling, the E - Clutch System will protect you in case the drill gets jammed. Just watch for the red LED to light up.
Here are some important notes. Always wear safety goggles and other protective gear when using the drill. Don't use the drill if it's damaged. Make sure the battery is fully charged before use.
For maintenance, keep the drill clean after each use. Wipe it down with a dry cloth. Check the chuck regularly for any debris and clean it if necessary. If you're not going to use the drill for a long time, store it in a dry place and remove the battery. And don't forget, you can use the DEWALT Tool Connect app to track your drill if you install a DEWALT® tool tag.
