Using the Makita GFD02D is a breeze. First, make sure you've fully charged the 40V max XGT® 2.5Ah batteries using the included rapid charger. Once charged, insert the battery into the drill. You can choose between the two speed settings (0 - 550 RPM for more precise work and 0 - 2,200 RPM for faster drilling or driving) according to your task. Press the ultra - smooth variable speed trigger to start the drill, and adjust the pressure on the trigger to control the speed. When working, try to keep the drill perpendicular to the surface for better results. Remember, this drill is great for wood, masonry, and metal, but make sure to use the appropriate drill bits for each material. For maintenance, after each use, wipe down the drill with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris. If you're working in a very dusty or wet environment, take extra care to clean the drill more thoroughly. Only use genuine Makita® batteries and chargers to ensure the best performance and safety. Avoid overloading the drill by not forcing it through tough materials. If the drill starts to overheat, stop using it and let it cool down. Store the drill and batteries in a dry, cool place when not in use.
