Using the Bosch JS120N jig saw is quite straightforward. First, make sure you've inserted the T - Shank blade correctly using the tool - free blade change feature. You can do this with one hand, which is really convenient. Then, adjust the variable - speed dial according to the task you're doing. If you need a smooth cut, you can choose a lower speed; for a more aggressive cut, a higher speed would be better. The three orbital - action settings also give you different cutting styles. You can use the adjustable footplate to make bevel cuts up to 45°. Just shift it to the desired angle. When using it, keep in mind that this saw doesn't accept U - shank blades, so always use T - Shank ones. Also, the switchable LED light can be very useful in low - light conditions, so turn it on when you need better visibility of the cutting area. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the saw clean to remove any sawdust or debris. Check the blade regularly for wear and tear, and replace it when it's dull. Store the saw in a dry place to prevent rusting. And remember, the charger isn't included, so you'll need to use a compatible 12V charger for the battery.
