Using your DeWalt DCE1581 replacement dies is easy. First, make sure your DEWALT 20V MAX* XR® Brushless Wire Mesh Cable Tray Cutter DCE158D1 is turned off. Then, use the included hex wrench to remove the old dies and install the new DCE1581 moving and stationary cutting dies with the provided machine screws. When you're ready to cut, place the wire mesh cable tray between the dies. These dies are designed to cut carbon and stainless steel wire mesh cable trays up to 1/4 in. (6mm) thick. Make sure to keep your hands clear of the cutting area while the cutter is in operation. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the dies clean to remove any debris or metal shavings. You can use a dry cloth or a soft brush. If the dies get rusty, you can use a light - duty metal cleaner to clean them. Store the dies in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
