Using the Makita GAG03M1 is easy. First, make sure the battery is fully charged and inserted correctly into the grinder. Then, choose the right grinding or cutting wheel for your task. You can adjust the guard easily without tools for better access to the work area. Hold the grinder firmly with one hand on the side handle and the other on the body grip. Press the large paddle switch to start the grinder. The soft - start feature will give you a smooth start. When you're done with the task, release the switch, and the electric brake will stop the wheel within 2 seconds. Here are some important things to keep in mind. Always wear appropriate safety gear like goggles, gloves, and a dust mask. Don't use the grinder in wet conditions unless it's specifically designed for that. Check the tool regularly for any signs of damage or wear. If the wheel stops suddenly, the Active Feedback - sensing Technology (AFT®) will turn off the motor to protect you. Also, make sure the switch is in the off position before inserting or removing the battery to avoid accidental starts. For maintenance, keep the wire mesh intake covers clean to prevent debris from entering the motor. Wipe down the grinder after each use to remove dust and dirt. Periodically check the gears and other moving parts for proper lubrication and tightness. Store the grinder in a dry place when not in use. If you have any issues, refer to the user manual or contact Makita customer service.
