Using the Makita GMH04PLX breaker hammer is straightforward. First, make sure the 40V max XGT® 8.0Ah batteries are fully charged. Insert the batteries into the tool. If you're using the dust extractor, connect it using the AWS® system (remember the AWS® Transmitter is sold separately). When starting the tool, use the soft start feature for better control. The built - in Dual L.E.D. lights can be turned on with the independent switch to illuminate your work area.
When it comes to safety, always wear appropriate personal protective equipment like safety glasses, ear protection, and gloves. The tool is quite powerful, so hold it firmly and keep a stable stance. Don't use the tool in wet or damp conditions.
For maintenance, after each use, clean the tool with a dry cloth. Check the bits regularly for wear and tear and replace them if needed. Keep the batteries in a cool, dry place. The XGT® Rapid Charger should be stored in a safe area. If the tool has any issues, stop using it immediately and contact Makita's customer service.
