Using your Makita DML805 flood light is a breeze. First, you can decide whether to use it corded or with an 18V LXT® battery (battery not included). If you're using the battery, make sure it's fully charged. To turn on the light, just find the power switch. You can choose between high and low modes depending on how much light you need. Use the adjusting knobs to point the light where you want it. If you lose AC power and have a charged battery installed, the backup power feature will keep the light on. When you're done, wrap the AC cord around the mounting stand base for easy storage. You can also use the integrated handle to hang the light. As for maintenance, keep the light clean and dry. Since it has XPT™ technology, it can handle some dust and water, but only when using DC power. If the light flashes, it means the battery is low. Remember, this flood light comes with a 3 - year warranty, so you can use it with confidence. And don't forget, the optional tripod or pipe - clamp stands are sold separately if you want to mount the light.
