Product Detail

The Makita LS1221 Compound Miter Saw comes with a great set of accessories. It includes a 40T Carbide Tipped Blade (A-93706) for sharp and accurate cuts, a Vertical Vise (122540-9) to hold your materials firmly, two Extension Wings (323726-0) for extended support, a Socket Wrench #13 (782232-8) for easy adjustments, and a Dust Bag (122852-0) to keep your workspace clean. This saw features a powerful 15.0 AMP motor that spins at 4,000 RPM, providing enough power for tough jobs. Its 4-1/2' tall pivoting fence allows you to cut up to 5-1/2' crown molding. With positive miter stops at 9 settings (15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° right or left and 0° for 90° cuts), you can make precise angle cuts easily. The horizontal D-handle design offers a comfortable and easy grip for smooth operation. The carbide tipped blade ensures precision cutting, and the electric brake boosts productivity by quickly stopping the blade. The pivoting fence is also useful for supporting larger pieces of material.

Using the Makita LS1221 Compound Miter Saw is quite straightforward. First, make sure you have all the necessary accessories installed, like the blade, vise, and extension wings. Plug in the saw and turn it on. You can adjust the miter angle using the positive miter stops at the 9 available settings for different cutting needs. When cutting, hold the material firmly with the vise and use the D-handle to guide the saw smoothly. Here are some important notes. Always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from flying debris. Keep your hands away from the blade when it's running. Don't force the saw through the material; let the blade do the work. After each use, turn off the saw and unplug it. For maintenance, regularly clean the saw and the dust bag to keep the motor and other parts working well. Check the blade for any signs of damage and replace it if needed. Lubricate the moving parts occasionally to ensure smooth operation. If you're not using the saw for a long time, store it in a dry place to prevent rusting.
