Using the Bosch GEX12V-5N sander is quite simple. First, make sure you have the right sandpaper attached to the hook-and-loop backing pad. You can use the speed selector to adjust the speed according to the material you're working on. When you're ready to start, just press the easy-to-reach on/off switch. The soft-start technology will gradually bring the sander up to speed, so you don't have to worry about sudden jolts. As you sand, try to keep the sander flat on the surface to get an even finish.
